Many of our blog readers and social media followers are likely aware of the Renewable Fuels monthly newsletter, which has been produced since 2008. As long-time readers will remember, Don Hofstrand and Dr. Bob Wisner (Iowa State University) have been instrumental in providing analysis and commentary related to the renewable fuels industry through this valuable newsletter.
From 2008-2014, the newsletter was published by the Agricultural Marketing Resource Center (AgMRC), operated by the Value Added Agriculture Program at Iowa State Extension and Outreach (ISUEO), and was partially funded by the USDA. In early 2015, the newsletter moved to a partnership between AgMRC and the Iowa Grain Quality Initiative (IGQI), an ISUEO program directed specifically at grain processing and handling.
